About the position

As a Team Lead Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers focused on building and maintaining the foundational architecture, infrastructure and platforms that support our organization's technology initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that our technology platforms are reliable, scalable, and secure.

Your responsibilities

  • Platform Development: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our core infrastructure platforms, including cloud platforms, virtualization environments, and automation tools
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers, providing guidance, support, and career development opportunities
  • Technology Strategy: Collaborate with the Head of Technology, the CTO and other stakeholders to develop and execute the organization's technology strategy, focusing on platform modernization and innovation
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness of our infrastructure
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that our infrastructure and platforms meet the highest standards of security and compliance
  • Project Management: Manage complex infrastructure projects, from planning and execution to delivery and ongoing maintenance

Your profile

  • Completed IT studies or training as an IT specialist and relevant professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in infrastructure or cloud engineering
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform) and infrastructure technologies (e.g., virtualization, networking, storage)
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with data-intensive systems and big data technologies
  • Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts
  • Ability to integrate AI and machine learning solutions into infrastructure platforms
  • Certifications in cloud platforms or infrastructure technologies
